In addition to Veterans day, today was also the 91st anniversary of the official end of WWI.

I was saddened by the fact that my town didn't even say anything in the paper! I had asked about participating in any kind of cerimony and there was none. Next time I am going to Joliet, the nearest larger town.

There will probably be a large celebration on Nov. 11, 2018 for Centennial of the end of the war.

i'll throw one on june 28, 2014 with black white and red streamers, deutschland uber alles blaring and i'll be wearing my 1st Leib-Kurassier having a 21 G98 salute to all the brave germans who died in quest for deutsche europa! lol

Wow that's going to be a long trip for you. Newville is over 10 hours away for me. You might be closer to the site in OK. If it is still there.
