The springfields would be a bit more then the Kar98s as I wouldn't have a Dboys airsoft gun to steal parts from. I am guessing $300 not sure yet. I'll have to start experimenting with it. If you can make them at that price it is still plenty affordable since it's about half of the onley other 1903A1 on the market.

Can't display pictures because I haven't made any yet. Just planning. I would but I don't have enough cash to take on the project. BTW What is wrong with Tommygunners Springfield, that's who you are referring to right?

Jake you are so full of good news. I hope you are not planning to spend any of that wonderful winter in a trench! Back to the making of guns, do you have a place to go to for parts, stocks and stuff. Also is there a source to go to for the best airsoft guts to use. For the parts I might try S & S.

For parts I'd suggest Sarco, and Numrich. They both seem to have good prices. I've ordered from Sarco before and nothing went wrong. I also know a guy who ordered from Numrich with no problems. Ebay is also a good place to check.

tootall, just check regular airsoft sites for guts and whatnot, airspalt, airsoft GI, also the first public annoucement of this, i'm building an MP18! ordered the sten just now so it'll be a few weeks, kalbs made an mp28 which is pretty similar to an mp18, i'm gonna ask him for some advice, wish me luck with the snail mag, it's gonna be a real poop storm makin that

Jake I don't think you will have any problem. Carving up the wood to make the Sten fit is the big challenge. Same problem with putting airsoft guts into a Springfield. I found a site selling deactived M1903 Springfields for $200. dupagetrading.com Could be a start for all the parts.
