WW1 theme is not very popular among the airsoft people in Finland at the moment. Not a single WW1- airsoft event has yet taken place in our country, but we are now working hard for the first one. It will be based on the events of finnish civil war (1918)

We have some players with a quite good german and finnish civilian (red, or white guard) impressions, but some Tsarist troops are also needed. Our tsarist army- group has now a strength of 3, which is most likely going to be doupled till the end of the year.

We are collecting dismounted cavalry impressions. Note the color of epaulettes, lack of brass belt buckles, Vesmesok (not in the picture) instead of knapsack. More WW1 russian repro stuff is already en route from eastern Europe...
Officer (me) on the left (note the cockade in M1914 cap) is wearing M1911 cavalry Gimnasterka with epaulettes in cavalry colors, and M1913 woollen trousers. Guards corps soldier on the right (yellow epaulettes) wears woollen M1914 Gimnasterka, M1915 trousers, and a side cap with EM cockade, thus looking more like a late war soldier. Both early and late war equipment saw extremely wide use by the russian troops in finnish civil war, as well as in the russian civil war (1918-1922). Both opposing armies of the russian civil war were unable to standardize the equipment (or even uniforms...) of their vast armies and distant fronts, as the economy and industrial capacity had collapsed in turmoil since 1914.
Anyone else interested of the WW1 eastern European impressions?
