Hi everyone, and greetings from the NE corner of Europe I have just started french infantry impression, and id like to know about the most visible differences between M/23 and M/1915 adrian helmets. Here in Finland we have some suppliers of M/23 but none of the M/15. I just bought M/23 with original shell and repro lining, do you think it is close enough in general WW1-airsoft standards? -Henry

Afraid I cant answer your question but are you doing an early war impression with red trousers and blue overcoat?

No, im doing mid- and late- war because currently none of the other WW1 airsofters in Finland has an early war impression. I also have almost finished my home-made M/15 tunic.
It seems that the integrated cocarde of 1915 version helmet had some kind of branch symbols. Cocarde of M23 has only letters RF(?).

I havent found yet. And never heard about mass-produced airsoft Lebel. It will be my custom project some day. For now im using Kar98K-VSR conversion, it is even a bolt-action service rifle

Hello, i'm a french ww2 airsoftter (maybe a great war someday)
I could help you for the adrian helmets : the 1915 is a 4 part helmet with a front peak, a back one (with a small metallic belt ), a helmet and a "cimier" on the top. The 1926 (not 23) model is a one part helmet with a "cimier". Your "rondache" (you called it a cocarde) is a flaming grenade with RF, it is an infantry helmet, the great war one was alone and you could find an other model (post war) with a disc around the grenade. The rondache with two guns is artillery one, the star and cresent for colonial infantry, the medieval helmet with guns for tanks and the wings for air force.
If you are looking for leather liner you will find "nicecollections" reproductions, you'll also find essential molletieres.
At last the mosin is the best base for a berthier or lebel custom : it uses the same bolt system (not the german one)
Please forgive my english mistakes

Thank you for the information, Dunkirk I stand corrected. Does anyone know where to buy complete M15 helmets, repro or an original? Luckily in Finland we have a lot of de-ac Mosin-Nagants as well as their parts everywhere, due to our own and the former Soviet army. Lebel/Berthier will be my first project after my military service has ended (Next summer). Btw. Is there any other suppliers for french WW1 overcoats than Schipperfabrik?
