He did an amazing job for just one kid. What we need to do is have a 2 day event where we all come out set up camp, eat period food, and dig trenches! Would be a lot of hard fun. ;D

Well, thanks for all of the thanks.
That was a little airsoft project that ended up lasting from Spring break up until the middle....or maybe it was the end....of May
I still play airsoft there, it is just not really big, and I don't really have working parties running around shoring it up during the night time, hiding from the flares. So, erosion has taken a toll.
Recently, I also constructed some defenses outside of it, so now it is more like playing speedball than actually WW1 airsoft would be. But all the defenses would be easy to move, minus the one hole in the ground in the middle.
I'll get some new pics up here sooner or later...

Nice! But your right alittle small, a great start tho. If you get the chances checkout what the RS WWI guys have in PA. and CA. Read elsewhere here to see what's going on. Hope the midwest is not too far for you to travel to. Can't wait to see what our fearless leader is coming up with out in KC. Bet your trenchworks don't look like that right now. You would probably have to shovel some snow out of the way.

Are you getting in practice on digging with all the snow? It's hard to see that trenchs will be there under all that snow. We need to hear from Slick63, how is it across the pond. Jake maybe you should change your impression to a Aussy because they were called "Diggers". Bet you will be looking forward to trading that shovel for a rifle.

haha, lucky for me, this ANZAC isn't experiencing any snow, and is working on a new addition to the trench...

You would be surprised at the little change in how shovels and other digging tools are made. One can still get from the local hardware store shovels for gardening that look exactly the same as the ones used during the Great War. I'm looking to advoid too much of all that work by finding ready made trenchs. Found them!
