How many of you have seen those repo German helmets, ordered one only to find the damn thing is too small. None of the suppliers for these helmets state the size. Well I have found one that does, Military Issue! I ordered the WWII German helmet that is a size 59/60 a real man's size! For now all I have seen is the Afrika Korps type helmet, but hope to see more later. The price is alittle higher than the other places but worth it to get the right size. Guess I am doing DAK for WWII.

im guessing the germans had little heads... most people have to get the largest size in order to fit.

The German Helmets are, unlike the American helmets of the period designed with different sizes. Most are about 56-60. The American helmets were built for economy, in other words, they were one size fits all, and have an adjustable sweatband in the liner.

very true! and all the average to large sizes of the original helmets were used up first. The same thing is true on original uniforms. Thank GOD for repros! But they still need to get it right on those as well. Now is it the same on the Great War German helmets? did they come in different sizes? I'm waitting to see if that is the case with them before I buy one.
