My grandpa said we can use his 110 acre farm to have a game. He said we need to have insurence and were good to did trenches, bunkers no mans land, ect. My only ordeal is that I dont know if enough people will attend. Who would plan on comming.

Sounds good but we must remember we are still a SMALL group. We just can't afford alot of what has been suggested. Also we need to try this idea out first on a small scale. Think of it a camping trip in uniform to start out with and see how it goes.

That sounds good tootall. Theres 18 acres where we can camp. Are we looking at a possible idea at least.

Red now I know where FREEBURG is, it seems very doable. Keep us updated on it and if you need any help you know where we are! This event seems more centrally located for our group. If you can post some photos of the area and possible locals for the senarios. Might I suggest just a weekend encampment to brainstorm and checkout the layout.

Same idea applies as Freeburg, do a weekend campout first to checkout the site. As a get togather we can do some planning especially if this is a site we can use over the years. Farmers have some fun toys and like to use them. See if you can get an endloader to dig the trenchs. Photos of this campout and us in uniform would be great advertising. Lets get to work!

No problem! Too much happening around here to plan something this early. Red has to get back with a weekend that is good for him, hopefully in August. I know many of you are heading back to school soon (suckers!) so it may have to be on a weekend later.

OK well The first weekend in august might work but I still need to buy/ Burrow two uniforms. One for me and one for my brother. I might know someone with a small excatator and my grandpa has a whole pile of roofing tin out sitting in the weeds at his farm so the trench will be accurate siding. My dad has a john deere but I dont think that will do the trick.

OK I guess I ment later in the month, maybe now in September. No rush and like you said you still have to get those uniforms. Also you have to consider the weather, wool uniforms in hot temps is not a good idea. That is why they have the RS WWI event in November. That first weekend in Nov is the last warm one in most parts of the country. Just about perfect temps. Hecker is south of St.Louis (not by much) and it would be even warmer.

The site in hecker is about 15 minutes away from the original site in freeburg.
