This is my design for making a custom MG08/15. The question I have is how do I now make the dummy trigger and the AK trigger function as one. Any suggestions?

hmmm... may be you could starighten the AK trigger and extend it down so the dummy trigger and the AK trigger would be one in the same

That is a phenomenal idea! I hadn't even thought of that. I was thinking of complex ways to link them xD I'll be getting started on this very soon and I will post up pictures as I go along.

This is something I've been working on too. The shape of the reciever and, feeding from the right is a chalange. I like the top feed idea and there is plenty of room.

Yeah I figured if I just flipped where the BB's feed into from the mag I could do away with any sort of mag and just has a simple internal hopper and let gravity do the work. I'm very eager to get started on this project and as well very eager to see how yours turns out!

I think that should do the trick. The trigger is the only thing now. I like the idea Oberst had about extending the trigger.
So far it's been alot of trial and, error but, fun. I've learned alot about how not to build it ;D.

Seriously considering insted of a "base gun" building everything my self and, running of a small paintball compressed air tank something like this. www.swanstrom.net/petes/shoot/autobb.htm Add a regulator to keep fps in a safe range.

Sorry bit of a necro post as you`ve probably built the thing by now, but if you extended the bottom casing slightly forward and cut a slot in the bottom you could fit one of the short ak 220 round mags in there in the original receiver fixings. It would hardly be noticeable and would be more reliable than a gravity fed hopper. And if you made the new trigger slide backwards and forwards instead of pivoting as normal, then you could attach a plate which acts on the original trigger.

Instead of the mag do what I do. Use one of the electric mag feeders from a SAW and a plastic tube to feed into the gun. I took apart the electric feeder and put it into the ammo box at the bottom with all the BB's in a separte inside tray in that ammo box just above it. It holds around 3000 BB's. With trigger you have to look at it and take it apart.

I use the M14's guts in my M1917's, sometimes I can get broken guns where it's the stocks or bad battery for half off.
