Well we are taking it one step at a time and being that the rifle is the most important it's number one. I like the idea of grenades, smoke bombs and even mines. Adds to the realisum. Hope you understand I and many others would like to see different bases of airsoft guns to be used for what we do. Eventually we would get around to grenades. What about pistols?

Well, yes for the most but, for mid to late war German assault units the grenade was as important as the rifle. Just to clarify my post I'm realy looking for ideas for the "shell" of the grenade that are a little better than a empty soup can on a stick.
Don't know about the allies but P08's and, Broom handle Mausers aren't hard to find for the German side. The Germans only issued pistols to MG gunners and, officers for the most part.

For the grenade idea what about vac-u-form? It's a very light weight and disposable plastic. It could hold over a hundred BB's or just powder, like corn starch. You could make the handle from cardboard and use a blackpowder charge with a fuse. As long as it looks close to the real thing. Remember it's disposable. About the pistols I was thinking of trench raids.

I think I might try PVC, could get some that is thick walled and turn it on a lathe. Speaking of trench raids what about foam rubber clubs for hand to hand?
