They could've been used if the war went on for another MONTH! "The first shipment of Thompson prototypes arrived on the dock in New York for shipment to Europe on November 11, 1918, the day that the War ended."

the 2 SMG's i know of that were used in WW1 were the German MP18 and an Italian one i don't know the name of

The Italian one was called the Villars-Perosa I believe
