Trying to get a little done every day on it. On a side note I'm also going to make one that shoots steel bb's for plinking cans etc. (NO NOT PEOPLE) ;D. For the Kar.98az 9/16ths. of an inch is pretty close.

Looks good!
What are the dimensions of it? How long is the receiver box and water jacket as well as the diameter of the jacket? I'm having trouble finding the specs of the gun for my own project. Where did you get your info from?

Where did you get your info from? Well, to be honest my dimensions are probably a bit off. I couldn't find the all the specs. So, here is what I did. Worked from what I knew the diameter of the water jacket: 89mm that's 31/2 in. and, used that for a scale. Length of my water jacket is 24 in. Length on my receiver is 12in. height is 6 1/4 in. I'll make a drawing and post it maybe it will help out some. Oneday I hope to get a copy of some factory master drawings and, build a good one.

Here we go, these may take a little adjusting till they look right. I'd make a cardboard template first because, I used steel and, mig welding on mine I allowed for deformation from heat grinding etc. 155jr.weebly.com/misc.html

Hope it's helpful, I ran into the same problem with finding dimensions. I'm guessing it weighs about 15 pounds as is will probably put on about another 10 before it's done but, just a guess.
Work schedule is so erratic I don't know when to sleep anymore ;D.
